Hidden in the beautiful city of Charlotte, in the original area where Charlotte was first being developed, where trees are wide and tall, lies the city’s very own secret garden, Wing Haven. The home of Elizabeth Clarkson was preserved after she past away and is now a historical home where you can visit her lovely gardens. She set the path of making a garden a habitat. For only $6 you can walk the grounds filled with pathways full of water features, flowers, birds, and plenty of adorable chipmunks scattering about. Jarret and I brought his father when he came down for a visit. Although the day was hot, we were tucked away under plenty of shade from the giant trees. Well worth the visit!
